Super easy Tuna Pasta Bake
No recipe for this one!
I mixed together half wholemeal pasta and half white pasta and cooked them together until ‘al dente’
Whilst that was boiling I melted half a pack of Philadelphia cream cheese and some grated Cheddar cheese with a drained tin of tuna in brine; adding in some seasoning.
After draining the pasta I mixed the sauce with the pasta, adding some more grated cheese on the top and baking in the Aga for 25 minutes at the top of the top oven.
Yummy, comfort food! Super speedy, too! Enjoy!
I wanted to make a variation of Rice Krispie cakes and couldn’t find the perfect recipe!
So I took
3 cups of freshly made popcorn
3 cups of puffed rice
3 cups of Rice Krispies
In a pan I melted together a 7oz jar of Marshmallow Fluff, 1/2 cup of smooth peanut butter, 1/2 cup Nutella and 1/4 cup unsalted butter.
All the ingredients
I mixed the melted ingredients in with the dry ingredients, so they were all combined. I firmly pressed the mixture into a rectangular baking tin lined with greaseproof paper and then chilled it in the fridge for 30 mins.
Popcorn, Rice Peanut butter Bars
Super-easy fish pie
I used a recipe from BBC Good Food which can be found here http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2303636/family-meals-easy-fish-pie
I omitted the petit pois and sweetcorn and used spinach instead
Cooking the ingredients
It was great, very easy, tasty and nutritious – 5 stars!
I’m so excited! I know that with an Aga I should be baking amazing bread, but somehow all my efforts have been less than successful!
So – ta dah!
And this is our first loaf! Lovingly created and nurtured into existence!!
Our first loaf!
It was SO yummy! The crust was beautiful and it had a great texture! Very pleased! Now to experiment! Watch this space………!
White Chocolate & Ginger Mousse
This recipe is from the book ‘Home Cooking Made Easy’ The recipe says it makes 4 large glasses but next time I’m more likely to serve it as 8 small glasses, as it was very rich and the servings were too big!
150g Creme fraiche
300 ml double cream
400g white chocolate (melted in the bottom of the Aga)
finely chopped stem ginger
I whipped the double cream until thick and then whipped in the creme fraiche gently.
Next I added a spoonful of the cream/creme fraiche mixture to the melted chocolate and stirred it in. I gradually added all the cream mixture to the chocolate in this way. Finally I stirred in some chopped ginger.
I divided the mixture between 4 glasses and put it in the fridge for an hour.
Boulangere potatoes are sliced very thinly (I used the food processor) and cooked in the oven in stock, so they are very healthy!
You can find the recipe here http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/vegetables-recipes/boulang-re-potatoes
I didn’t have any sage, so I left it out!
Waitrose Hearty Beef & Beetroot Stew
You can find the recipe here http://www.waitrose.com/content/waitrose/en/home/recipes/recipe_directory/h/hearty-beef-and-beetrootstew.A4.html
I used normal beetroot (not the chilli one mentioned in the recipe) anf I served it with Boulangere potatoes (recipe in another post!)
It was DELICIOUS!
